14 | 2% Bird | Flock Leader Max is the narrator of the series, hence it being named after her. She is the leader of the Flock and acts as a mother to the younger ones. Max is brave, strong, fast, and determined. She cares deeply about the flock and thinks quick on her feet. A fast pace hero and a committed friend.

14 | 2% Bird | Part of the Flock Fang is three months younger than Max but acts as her right hand man, helping her out with the Flock and always having her back. Fang is dark and mysterious, silent but very intelligent and strong. He stands by his beliefs as well, later in the series doing what he thinks is best. He is Max's best friend and has strong feelings for her.

6 | 2% Bird | Youngest of the Flock Angel is the youngest of the Flock family and the biological sister to Gazzy. Max is very protective over Angel like a mother would be over her child and they share a strong bond. Angel has many special talents, one including the ability to read minds. In "The Angel Experiment" she gets kidnapped and it's up to Max and the Flock to get her back.

14 | 2% Bird | Part of the Flock Iggy is the same age as Fang and Max, but unlike them he has a more immature personality spending most of his time with 8 year old Gazzy. Together they make explosives and bombs that come in handy in tight situations. He has excellent hearing and is handy with electronics and pyroclastics. Due to a previous failed experiment at the School Iggy is blind, but surprisingly cooks better than Max.

8 | 2% Bird | Part of the Flock The Gasman, nicknamed Gazzy, is a playful jokester who even with the experiments of the school is the equivalent of a typical 8 year old boy. He likes to pull pranks and works along Iggy to create bombs and explosives. Gazzy also has special abilities like imitating voices. The name "Gasman" came from his tendency to...let it rip.

11 | 2% Bird | Part of the Flock Nudge is the chatter-box of the group. She's constantly talking earning her the name "The Nudge Channel" from the other Flock members because whenever she starts talking it's hard to make her stop. She is very girly, loving fashion and caring about her appearance. Out of the Flock she is the most determined to find her family and wants to lead a normal life. Her real name is Monique but she doesn't like it very much.

Jeb is a scientist Jeb is a scientist at the School, he is responsible for taking the Flock when they were younger and helping them escape the School to a new home. They lived as a family until one day Jeb disappeared two years before the story starts. The Flock was convinced Jeb was dead, they were wrong.

Ari is an Eraser The son of Jeb Batchelder, Ari also underwent experiments turning him into a hybrid half human half wolf. Like the other Erasers, Ari remains in a partially morphed state. When an Eraser the aging process is accelerated, in result Ari appears much older than his actual age and is quite illiterate. The School has ordered him and the other Erasers to hunt down Max. Though he hates her and is jealous of her a part of him admires the girl, however, it is his job to kill her.
