In the past three years James has broken the record of selling more books than any other author to date at an estimated 260 million copies worldwide. The Guinness World Record for most Hardcover Fiction best-selling books by a single suspense author goes to him, who has also authored five hardcover novels that debuted at #1 in one year and has continued to accomplish that every year since 2005. Patterson has had 19 sequential #1 bestsellers on the New York Times list.


His success has resulted in his novels such as Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider becoming hit movies and an ABC television show “The Women’s Murder Club” which has been the #1 detective series in the past five years as well. There’s no doubt that James Patterson can do it all, his work has become the titles to beat, writing books that can satisfy all ages and genders. The Maximum Ride series remained #1 on the New York Times best-seller list for twelve weeks straight, the series having 94 snowballing appearances on the list since.
